-=> On 02-28-98 18:20, John Sampson did testify and affirm <=-

RP> I think Starr can make a pretty good case for their tactics
RP> being deliberate, carefully planned, obstruction of
RP> justice, and evidently that's beginning to sink in.
RP> Betcha that executive privilege tactic gets shot down real
RP> quick too.
At any rate, it'll be interesting to watch them explain the
national security ramifications of Monica's actions while
kneeling on the Presidential seal in the Oval Office.
JS> Oh ye of little faith. With Sydney Blumenthal calling
JS> his own press conference to throw down the gauntlet,
JS> challenging Starr to continue down this path and at the
JS> same time sayin in effect he WAS the one who leaked all
JS> this nonsense and that it was, get this, his First
JS> Ammendment RIGHT to do so, the charge of Obstruction of
JS> Justice is far from being a "slam dunk".
To bad Sidney doesn't have the same regard for Matt
Drudge's 1st Amendment rights. Otherwise, Drudge's
retraction and apology would be more than sufficient.
JS> What this ruling junta is doing is deliberately challenging
JS> not only the authority of Ken Starr, but challenging the
JS> rule of law as well. That is why I've taken to referring to
JS> the current occupant of the White House as El Presidente,
JS> for he and his administration are as corrupt as any Western
JS> Latin American tin horn dictatorship or ruling military
JS> junta. They all share this belief that the law doesn't
JS> apply to them. That they are ABOVE the law. And so far,
JS> they've shown that they are.
As exampled by their insistence that no correspondence, no
telephone logs and no other documentation existed
concerning Kathleen Wiley... until Kathleen Wiley told all
on 60 Minutes. Then the documentation appeared - and NOW
the story is the attorneys only requested the documents
from William Clinton rather than the White House.
Huh? Other than the fact that the Dufus has no residence
other than the White House, there is the fact that if this
is a "private" matter, isn't the Dufus the one to subpoena?
... Liberalism is the opiate of the morally bankrupt.
