| subject: | Can RAM degrade? |
My wife's PC (running W98/2) suddenly started misbehaving (freezing up) until it was not even possible most of the time to boot all the way. After much trial and error, all problems were cured by selecting the "BIOS default" settings; this affected mainly the memory time settings. The PC has 256MB of PC-133 RAM (1 module). The strange thing is that this machine has been running for over a year with the "Turbo" BIOS settings. Can anybody make sense out of this? Stephan ------------------------ Yahoo!
