| subject: | Debugging Pm Programs |
JONATHAN DE BOYNE POLLARD had something deep to write about Debugging Pm Programs JP> Nope. It's the line buffering done by the standard library. Either JP> use setvbuf() to remove all buffering on stdout/stderr, or explicitly JP> fflush() after every fprintf. I've found that OS/2 is much better about this than DOS is. I've found that everything fprint()ed before a fflush() in OS/2 is found in the dump file after the program aborts. In DOS, even fflush()ing doesn't help. Since most of my programming is still for other people's DOS machines, I have come to greatly appreciate this feature of OS/2. * KWQ/2 1.2e * OS/2 - The sane way to jump out of Windows!!! --- QScan v1.10b / 01-0093* Origin: (1:381/123) SEEN-BY: 12/2442 54/54 620/243 624/50 632/348 640/820 690/660 711/409 413 430 SEEN-BY: 711/807 808 809 934 712/353 623 713/888 800/1 @PATH: 381/123 900 3615/50 259/98 250/99 801 229/2 12/2442 @PATH: 711/409 54/54 711/808 809 934 |
