-> JN> Has typing speed increased on computers, with keyboards -> JN> that don't require such a hard stroke? -> I suspect top speed for typing has increased quite a bit, mainly because -> you never take either hand off the keyboard. This was also true of the -> guys who punched tape for teletype - no need to take the hands off the -> keyboard. Many a tape puncher could do 80wpm or so punching tape, but only -> maybe 60 on a old mill. My Linda used to be able to do 90 WPM on a Manual Typewriter. She sure blesses the inventior of Computers though for Wordprocessing. For the Clerk that was about equal to going to the Moon. :-) :-) --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5* Origin: Shakey Jake's *ALL FREE BBS* Santee, CA (1:202/1324) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 202/1324 10/3 106/2000 633/267 |
