I'm using DigiFossil 2.2 as it is the only fossil made for Intelligent
Digiboards and is recommended by Digi International!!! I load the nodes in a
Desqview Window and the Fossil portion is loaded before Desqview as said in
the Digifossil Docs!!! When I load my Window in Desqview it loads the TSR
part of Digifossil which stresses the Com Port and Locks the Baud Rate!!! It
then loads FrontDoor and waits for A caller!!! I get very frequent Mail Drops
from different sources for 4 Different Nets including Daily 50 Meg Internet
Drops and I call out almost every night to local BBSes doing file transfers
from the Mailer term Program!!! I get great transfer rates and nothing
appears to be going wrong which suggests the Modem, Digiboard, Fossil, and
Frontdoor are all working fine BUT when a user drops from the Mailer to the
BBS, Maximus starts a constant repeating of the Login Line "What is your
name" and the speed is as fast to allow a user only a chance to get 1 letter
in per line!!! I should also mention that I've had my ISDN modem hooked up to
the Digiboard with Digifossil 2.2 and FrontDoor since last November without
any problem on a 3rd node!!! The only problem happens when it tries to load
Maximus up in Dos!!! Can you figure this out???
P.S. I should also mention that I took the Mailer offline and loaded the
Fossil, Desqview, Fossil TSR, and then Maximus in the Waiting for Caller Mode
and had the same effect & problem!!! I have been working on this since last
November so I'm a little tired & frustrated with this and after talking with
all the Hardware & Software support people from my setup they all point the
finger at Maximus!!! I'm just hoping that you'll be able to get this working
even it it comes down to running a small patch or something!!! :(
