Peter, at 11:44 on May 12 1995, you wrote to Bill Grimsley...

I'm afraid not Pete, and I shall now prove otherwise.

All questions of legality aside for the time being, can you, or anybody
else associated with this or similar schemes tell me exactly how I'm going
to SAVE money? According to my calculations, joining First Netcom would
actually cost me MORE than I'm paying right now.

I quote verbatim from the First Netcom sales spiel...

========================================================
You will appreciate the honesty of the First Netcom rate.
A 5% (*) saving on all calls to all locations at all times
(standard published rates, including off-peak, weekend etc).

(*) Rates are fixed October to March, April to September.
=========================================================

Now, would I be correct in assuming that as I'd be buying air-time from
First Netcom, my Telecom Flexi-plan will no longer be valid? If not (and
this is what I have already been told), I would actually LOSE money.

For example, my most recent phone bill has accrued a total of $140.26 in
local and STD call charges. Due to my Flexi-plan, Telecom have further
discounted this amount by $13.79, which just happens to be $6.78 MORE
discount than the miserable 5% being offered by your mob (2% of which goes
directly to you as a kickback, BTW). Ergo, you would have me paying much
more than I do right now, while lining your pockets (at my expense) at the
same time. Furthermore, by having to pay monthly instead of quarterly, I'd
be losing two months bank interest on that amount as well.

Yeah, it sure sounds like a good deal to me. |-)

Regards, Bill
