-=> Quoting Harvey Heagy to Albert Sten-Clanton <=-
HH> Hi Albert. I agree with you. I spoke with at least 1 exhibitor that
HH> says that when you put the amount of set-up time that some exhibitors
HH> require against the amount of time they have to exhibit which is
HH> roughly an hour and 45 minutes during the lunch break during the
HH> actual convention, and that is only if the session ends on time, some
HH> of them are figuring it is just not worth the bother. Exhibit time
HH> has been cut back during recent years to where we have all day Sunday
HH> and Monday and then only the lunch breaks Tuesday through Friday with
HH> the possible exception of 2 mornings before the session. During the
HH> lunch break people are trying to get lunch and do other things. I
HH> think that is too little time for exhibitions when you consider the
HH> amount of people trying to get to them.
Harvey:
I have no doubt that some exhibitors feel this way. However, this schedule
has
been this way for as long as I can remember. There is also Wednesday
afternoon,
which you forgot.
I have also spoken to exhibitors who love our schedule. They say that at
other
exhibits they have to put in ten or twelve hour days and they may only get a
person or two an hour. this isn't true with ours.
It has been this way for a long time, and they can choose not to come. they
do
come though because we give them easy access to the largest group of blind
persons in the world at one time and in one place.
