-> TW> I have been concedering putting a CD-R Writer in that machine -> TW> as some of the New computers no longer have a floppy drive. -> Was it DELL who announced last year that it would no longer -> have floppy drives in its new computers? I would expect -> other manufacturers to follow that lead in the not-to-distance -> future. Even AOL hasn't mailed floppies for a few years, which -> lead to a decline in the availability of cheap-free disks. There are several that have done so. In fact enough that the USB floppy drives are popping up in the Stores. I was at Fry's SAturday and they had several different brands on the shelf.. While I guess most Computer users may not have a need but for small files it sure is convient to do a "Right Mouse Click/Send to "A". I know at least person that now has to Burn a "Floppy sized File" to a CD-R to turn in a report. --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5* Origin: Shakey Jake's *ALL FREE BBS* Santee, CA (1:202/1324) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 202/1324 10/3 106/2000 633/267 |
