Sorry, but I'm not the one to be asking about OS/2 problems, as it's been
close to bullet-proof here, ever since I started using it over 4 years ago.
 My only real complaint is that with some newer hardware, you need to know
what you're doing if you want it installed properly.  Some of the 3rd party
OS/2 manuals might be worth considering too, if you're going to continue
using it.

Beats me.  I've never had a problem with Warp Blue, nor have I heard
anybody else mention anything about minimised icons not appearing on the
desktop.  In fact, I haven't bothered applying any FPs either, 'cos mine
ain't broke...
