        The Questor Tapes was a television pilot made by Gene
 Roddenberry following Trek.
        It concerned the Android Questor.  He was the last in a long
 line of androids left by an alien race to shepherd humanity through our
 dangerous nuclear adolesence.
        However, Questor had problems.  His predecessor android didn't
 get to finish him completely before ceasing to function.  Questor was
 missing his emotions and any specific data about his mission.
        Robert Foxworth played Questor while Mike Farrell played his
 human sidekick/foil/patron.
        There was one episode made and it was never picked up as a
 series.  Many of the ideas and developments that would have been used
 in "The Questor Tapes" were later used for Data in ST:TNG.
