Hi Rick:
I don't know a lot about red rumps, but I can give you a starting
point at least. Red rumps are one of the Australian Parakeets. They are
long-tailed, slender birds, somewhat larger than a cockatiel. Most of the
Australian 'keets have a lifespan in the 20+ years range, so far as I
remember. I loaned out my species descriptions book so I can't look it up
for you. I would suggest that you try the library for a book or magazine
article on Australian parakeets.
Hope this helps!

Hello David,
How are you? Nice to see you on this echo. I feed my feather kids
kaytee rainbow chuncky pellets. Mikeee will sing "I'm a pretty bird"
as he is eating the big orange pellet.
I also stress other foods good for our kids, as each day they get a cup
of sprouts I grow from beans, peas, etc. I get them from Howard Voren.
I have my kids soooo spoil as Howard, Liz and Bob have taught me how
to do it soooo well. smile
Howard has a Breeders Choice which I use for my kids that are giving
me babies. I, each day do give my kids the Greens Pluss.
How are your feather kids?
