To everyone: Sam Harris has kindly uploaded the following
files:

USSTOCK1.ZIP
USSTOCK2.ZIP
INDICE.ZIP

They are now available for FREQ from 3:711/934, although the
first file is so big (over 2 meg) that I had to increase the
FREQ limits on my system, and I'm not sure whether that is
enough.

Anyway, for those of you who don't know what FREQ is, it is
the method that all fidonet systems use to pass mail and
files between each other. You know how when you log on to
a BBS it often says "press escape to enter BBS"? The program
that prints out that message is actually called a front-end
mailer, and if instead of pressing escape, you instead send a
sequence of control characters, you can speak to the front
end mailer instead, and just give it a list of files you want
and it automatically gets them for you.

To get any files from my system you need to use the FREQ
mechanism. I and a few other people have written a SALT script
for telix that will let you do a FREQ from such a system. Look
for a file called DEVIL*.* somewhere near you, or alternatively
phone 02-436-1785 (my BBS) and download this program from my
one and only visible (to the BBS as opposed to FREQ) file area.
Once you have this file (and a copy of telix) you will be able
to FREQ this file, and my files list too, and any other files
that I have on my system. Any problems, give me a yell here.
BFN. Paul.
