Mike, I've never had to permanently harm anyone in my life, but have
been in situations where an immediate "take down" of someone attacking
me was necessary. Very easily I could have been, morally, in your
shoes. You can't train, learn, or unlearn to handle something like
this. It's one of those things where YOU know you did what needed to
be done, DID what needed to be done, and IT happened. If not you then
someone else. Just accept the inevitable... you and your family will
be better off for it.
