Fraid so.  Trouble is, it only ever happens when I go back and specifically
edit a message which I'd previously written, so whilst it could be squish
at fault, I'm unable to really point the finger either way.

Silly bastard!  Even though it only shows messages up to the predetermined
limit, squish still keeps everything which has been posted to that echo
until the message base is packed.  That's a lot with Avtech, too.  :)
