The third Indianapolis 500-themed production in the series focuses on the
innovative, competitive decade of the 1980s. Longstanding legends of the sport,
such as A.J. Foyt, Mario Andretti, Al Unser, Bobby Unser and Johnny Rutherford,
battled against new stars, such as Rick Mears, Michael Andretti, Al Unser Jr.,
Bobby Rahal and Danny Sullivan, for glory at Indianapolis. And the dominance of
Penske Racing, which captured five Indianapolis 500 victories during the
decade, also is a prominent theme.

It also was an exciting time for new technology at Indianapolis, as
aerodynamic advances created some of the most exciting racing ever at the
Brickyard.

#We#re excited about the upcoming third release of this popular series,# said
Fred Nation, Indianapolis Motor Speedway executive vice president of
communications. #Fan response to the first two editions has been tremendous,
and we think the incredible duels between star drivers and innovative
technology that were the hallmark of the 1980s at the Speedway also will be a
big draw for fans.#

Some of the greatest moments of the decade at Indianapolis will be relived,
such as Gordon Johncock holding off Mears for victory in 1982, Sullivan#s #spin
and win# victory in 1985, Al Unser#s improbable fourth victory in 1987 and the
stirring duel for the checkered between Emerson Fittipaldi and Al Unser Jr. in
1989.

A special #Dynamic Duels# section looks back at the classic head-to-head
battles that shaped the decade, such as Johncock vs. Mears in 1982 and
Fittipaldi vs. Unser in 1989. Original IMS Radio Network play-by-play
accompanies the footage, adding to the drama.

Other features include bonus items such as trivia, photos, box scores and
other statistics, interactive menus and more.

The first two productions in the series, #Indianapolis 500: The 60#s A Decade
of Change# and #Indianapolis 500: The 70#s A Decade of Legends# both were
released successfully last year by IMS Productions and Shoreline Media Group
(SMG).

The success of this innovative entertainment partnership has prompted both
groups to announce plans for a final Legacy Series production, #Indianapolis
500: The 90#s,# scheduled for distribution later this year.
