Hi Gene,
Although far from an expert, I can't let you ask three times and get no
response. I have two Quakers and they both seem to take a liking to me the
most. Why, I don't know. I guess some birds I'm told will like one sex better
than the other. (Human that is)
Seeing that your Grey just had the choice of her female owner, maybe when she
came in contact with you, she found her real choice.
My son and mother can handle the Quakers, but it's me they really want to be
held by.
I wish that there was more I could tell you on the Greys, but I don't have
the experience of owning one.
Now that someone answered you, I'm SURE someone out here will have a
different or better answer. Hope this helps. Tell your wife to kept trying
and keep some band-aids handy. She'll probably come around.
