KP> KK> You can get synthetic light oils in a spray can, just like WD40.
KP>I don't know that WD40 is a good solution for shifters. If I am not

It's a light oil but may contain solvents. I was suggesting that there
are light synthetic oils similar to it. There are synthetic products now
that flow like light oils, but then the volatiles evaporate and leave behind
a thin film of synthetic grease and Teflon. You may be right -- the
solvents ight not be good for some plastics.
I've used synthetic 30 wt and 90 wt for lots of things. You can make
a little cone of paper and dribble some down into shifter cables.
