BG> Anybody told Rod yet that his flags are out-of-spec ?

PE> Which spec?

BG> The ones listed at the end of the nodelist, as it happens. And yes, I do
BG> realise that those binkley flags aren't critical.

That's the spec for the nodelist, not the spec for EMSI negotiation.

BG> I had a failure a bit earlier. Your modem issued the wrong tones when it
BG> answered,

PE> How do you know that?

BG> Because my fucking ears told me so! Nothing like the normal modem tones
BG> (may have been fax, but I'm not sure). Either way, it was YOUR modem at
BG> fault, as mine does nothing until it hears something from your end.

Yeah, but adaptive answer means if the other bloke can't be bothered
replying properly, IT'S A FAX! So it could be your end not
responding properly too. Anyway, I have switched off adaptive answer,
because I was unable to call using the fax at work. The modem is
unacceptible. I wanna Yum Cha. I'll see if I can get onto this
person who sells to normal people V.34 for $195. BFN. Paul.
