At runtime:

char szFont[] = "8.Courier";
WinSetPresParam (hwndListbox, PP_FONTNAMESIZE, strlen (szFont) + 1, szFont);

or in your resource file:

LISTBOX         IDD_LISTBOX, 5, 22, 354, 119, LS_MULTIPLESEL |
                LS_HORZSCROLL | LS_EXTENDEDSEL | WS_GROUP
                PRESPARAMS PP_FONTNAMESIZE, "8.Courier"

Use an ownerdrawn listbox. You can find several examples in BBS'es:
HUGELB.ZIP, LSTBX1.ZIP, LSTBX2.ZIP, DLGHIGH.ZIP.
