shades of the whooping crane experiments . . they tried giving them to
sandhills to hatch and raise . problem is, they grow up thinking they are
sandhills . wouldn't be bad (they habits are the same), but they won't
_mate_ with another whooper! . they think they are supposed to mate with
sandhills . and the sandhills (semi-smart birds ) won't have anything to
do with them cause they are the wrong color......
it gets worse . but it's too involved to get into in here ......
