It does pick up hay, dust, dirt, etc. Something *lined* with
polarfleece would probably be fairly decent, though.
I picked up a great pair of solarfleece riding gloves when I was at the
Royal Winter Fair this year. They're great! I can get away with
wearing them around in public when its cold, as the only difference is
some re-inforced plastic-leather by the thumb and the pinky -- where
you hold the reins.
They do pick up everything... but the way I figure, I payed $8 for
them... If I only get one winter out of them (we'll see how they hold
up... burrs are bad bad bad for them), then its still OK. I'll
have nice warm hands for at least one winter!!! :)
