You're lucky.  I wish I could remember the specifics but there was a recent 
major government purchase of PCs and after they were installed the fact they 
were not Y2K compliant was discovered.  --  You're right about the software. 
We've already had some encounters of the interesting kind at work (like 
calculated retirement dates being earlier than the person's date of birth).
