subject: Subwoofer Hookup?

WT> I want to use the subwoofer only from a 3 piece Sat/Sub system. I'll
hook
WT> my full-range bookshelf speakers normally as Speakers A and the
ubwoofer
WT> to Speakers B and not use the sub's built-in crossover & sat. output.
WT> Should the sat speaker output be terminated with a 8 ohm resister as a
WT> load for proper operation of the subwoofer? I don't want to kill it's
WT> crossover if it needs to "see" a 8 ohm load there and I don't want
WT> to use the little sat. speakers. What's right? Thanks in advance,
I would not doing because it gives same power to your high and lows so it
cuts your highs and amplifies your lows and sounds awful as for as your
amplifier you wont have a problem.
