Two words: staff turn-over.
Besides, I know one of the guys who used to write the controller code for
NetComm modems - I'd worked with him on programming projects before and had
seen his coding "style" .. it certainly explained some of the
wierd behaviour exhibited by NetComm modems. ;-)
