you're right buddy. poor performance on 33.6 only. It happens when connected
to a USR type modem. There is also alot of retrains.

Yes its the default setting. But setting %E1 is not the best thing to do
since line quality change constantly on a 28.8 connection.
Maybe a quailfied person can explain what is really a RETRAIN?
