A few years ago, on my property in FNQ, I heard my father (about

250yards away up against the rainforrest) yelling out for me to bring a

gun quickly ( as he and a very young pig dog, had been cornered by a big

old pig )

I grabbed the closest gun to be (not wanting to waste time and jumped into

the moke.



I got there in seconds, Unfortunately the gun I grabbed, was a pump

action Browning .22 (with a scope and silencer) that was loaded with rat

shot.



Dad was only 20feet from the pig when he pulled the trigger and watched

the pig laugh at him, as the rat shot stung his snout.



We were both very glad to see the little dog (that was training to be a

big pig dog) go for the pig and tease it til the pig got bored and wandered

back into the scrub.
