Sounds like you have a hardware problem to me, which switching to Linux
is unlikely to help. My Last Mozilla trap was over 2 months ago, and I
typically keep Moz trunk (alpha software at the moment - 1.8a3) open 4-5
days at a time straight, including mailnews and Chatzilla, plus have
other older versions configured to run concurrently when I please. I've
never installed IWB, and don't "install" Moz either. I unzip, install
v1.0 of ft2lib, & run it with a year old profile. I'm on eCS 1.1 w/ FP4
since March, & boot so infrequently I can't remember the last time I ran
checkini (which I always run right afte a reboot & then reboot again
after).
