I didn't say /new/ controls. But because the PM is full 32-bit in the next
version of OS/2, you can have e.g. much more items in your listbox
/without/ using kludges. I'm writing a file search program and few days ago
I tested it in the 2.99 beta: it listed 17000+ files in a listbox while
under 2.1GA it barfs at ~2500 files :-)
However, a couple of months ago I asked here about importing text into MLE.
MLE can handle large amounts of text but you have to read in the file in
64k chunks and this seems to be the case even in the 2.99 beta, too.
