If you can't just uninstall it by removing the adaptor in network
configuration then go to

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip
and delete that whole key

also look for keys like
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\{18F50FAE-71CB-42D2-BE4A-E
92DA45675E4}
as most of those number keys are adaptor configs, delete them as well

lastly delete
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Tcpip

then reboot and reinstall your network stuff.

Geo. (you might want to use regedit and save these keys to .reg files
before deleting them)
