subject: nodelist lookup batch

Hi! Richard,

On 25 Aug 08 12:30, you wrote to me:

Interesting, that. Does it do multiple replaces in one 'pass' through the
file? (I.e., -either- a comma -or- underscore gets replaced?)

What are you building there? Something like an extended-format
"FidoUser.Lst" file? A dialling directory/list, perhaps?

I do vaguely similar things in my tosser batch, using DIR/NSET & DEL to
just keep a sub-set of the most recent files like FidoNews and the zone3
version of the nodelist in my on-line filebase.

Yep, no probs with his main AKA. I just can't put a finger on where the
logic fails on the no-find. As I've indicated to Gord, there's a no-find
for 2:2/2 also. It's got me stuffed for ideas though I won't lose any
sleep over the problem. ;-)

Mind you, you ought to enlist someone's help to create an executable
instead. There's a limit to what can be done with a batch file. I think I
found it.[giggle]

One of life's truisms. Hey, keep a copy if you wish.

Cheers,
Paul.
