Okay, people.. this isn't a message from the moderator, but I think it
pertains alot to those in here.
FIDOnet has two AMIGA for-sale echoes. Mine, AMIGASALE, gets about usually
double the amount of messages that this area gets. This echo, AMIGA_SALE was
created back when there was another moderator of AMIGASALE, whom most didn't
like. That has changed. We have two virtually identical echoes on the
FIDOnet backbone with the same exact rules. Since this echo was vacated,
what I am proposing is that everyone ask their SysOp to get AMIGASALE instead
of AMIGA_SALE (this echo) so that we can have a unified Amiga for-sale echo.
Does anyone agree with me on this? It'd be more productive to have just one
Amiga for-sale echo with all the traffic rather than two seperate echoes. In
the state the Amiga is in right now, I think this is the right choice. It
doesn't really make sense to have two different echoes if the second is
around for a reason that no longer exists (i.e. the moderator in AMIGASALE
before me.)
Please give me feedback...... in here, net-mail, or at the e-mail address
below. I've already gotten about 7 replies supporting me doing this.
And believe me, it won't be that hard. If those who read this echo ask their
sysops to get AMIGASALE instead, the change won't be that difficult. And
since AMIGA_SALE (this echo) won't be in the e-list anymore, people will all
come to AMIGASALE.
If anyone wants opinions on how I moderate, feel free to ask people how I do
in AMIGASALE and AMIGA_SYSOP. I am a very light-handed moderator who does
the best he can to support the Amiga and make the echo traffic go smoothly.
Thanks!
Jon
