Fixup your system to FP12 + DDpack 02. FP7 is not the stablest one!
FP12 is the most stble FP ever seen before the kernel mixup with the 
one of WSoD. It reuires the last Device driver fix too. When I 
remember right after FP7 was a fix for HPFS in a fixpack.

DON'T install FP13 - this is more buggy than WARP4 GA.
DON'T install FP14 - even as it fixes most of the bugs in FP13
                      it is too bad to be useable in productive
                      environment.
Install FP15 instead. Even as it is the last publically available
                      fixpack it is even so stable as FP12 but
                      opens the system to install the most current
                      kernel 14.100c.

After all you should exchange ibm1s506.add with the current danis506.add.

Even with FP15 your system hungs on the compatibility level of 1998.
You should check if a newer release of OS/2 would not give you more 
success as it is designed to work with current hardware.
