That sounds odd, i've been running 98 on as low as 48MB of RAM - it became
a bit slow after installing some programs and runnin things in the
background, but was generaly useable. I once ran Win2K Server on 96 MB for
about a day, now that was slooow.
Currently i use Win2K pro. with 384 MB and it works very nicely (until you
run some modern game :).

That's absolutely untrue. Win98 could address up to a bit less than 1GB of
memory (AFAIK). "a bit less" - because of a bug with his memory management.

1GB. The MM bug was fixed.
