Stan, when you're done with that project, you can hop right on to

I expect that you could run audio out from the phono amp into the sound
card's audio in or mic line; but that's just a WAG.

I've just started messing with audio files, attempting to create audio CDs
from captured streams or downloaded mp3 files.

It seems that the 44.1 Mb sampling rate is required by CW's Audio Creator
tools. I used Lame to resample stuff which was something different.

Using the above referenced archive site, I note that their regular .mp3
files are the "lo-fi" 22.05 rate, and their "hi-fi"
vbr_mp3 files are at the desired 44.1

Similar to the archival and playback of image and video files, archival
demands top quality, lossless, high resolution, sources; and it is from
these sources that more manageable playback formats can be derived.

I'm looking to use DVD for archival; and CD for playback.

I'm still looking for a wave file editor to trim the ends off huge files,
and break them into different segments, such as separating songs from a
concert file.

Peace,
