Hi Mark,
In a message you posted to RussP not long ago you was asking
about zone changes in his NOTIME program.
I was going to comment when your message arrived in SA, but as yet it
hasn't arrived here. :-(
Anyway, I can't help with your specific question, but you did mention
that it would get little use here because we don't have an equivilent
to the Naval Observatory time service.
This is not strictly true.
We have two numbers (that I know of) for a dial up time service, both
supplied from AOTC.
The numbers to call are
07 2217033
03 6001641
Neither of these supply the date/time in the same format that NOTIME
requires though, but it shouldn't be too hard to modify.
Both numbers are 1200 BPS ASCII format, and both will log you off after
about 15 seconds.
On connect you will see
CONNECT 1200
#
YYYY MM DD HH:MM:SS#
This is updated (on screen) every second.
Just thought you'd like to know that.
I *was* going to modify NOTIME to use these numbers and format, but
haven't got around to it yet. (thats why I never bothered about
uploading NOTIME to WOW).
Hmm, what else have you been getting Dazza to FREQ ??
I suppose that you *are* aware that most of the programs discussed in
the CBM echo's are programs that I have already d/loaded from USA
myself.
I also have ACE-R8 and NateD's WAVEPLAY program (if your interested,
and haven't already got Dazza to Freq them).
Oh yeah, I've been unable to get WAVEPLAY to work.. dunno if I got a
duff download, or whether I'm doing something wrong.
I stopped calling 221B a few days ago, so am awaiting feedback on this
problem via the echo.
Anyway, it may pay you to check with me before getting Dazza to Freq
files.. chances are that I already have them.
Cheers
Rod
