You sending your own personal information by email is only the very start of 
a background check. These guys can do a marvelous job in finding holes, lack 
of disclosure, self surving maskink of facts and determining the true nature 
and suitability for public law enforcement and they do itt on the taxpayers 
back so cvan be quite thorough. still the abusers, the miscreants and those 
obviously unsuited for the day to day operations get through and hired. 
Personal interviews would go far beyond checking only those references the 
applicant submit to "see" the overall picture.
A GOLDEN refrences list iscommonly seen as "the tip of the iceberg" But then 
again, maybe nobody ever made records of your indiscretions. In following 
your posts and tribulations with the law I could see where you would be 
classified by both employer and LE agencies as a person nedding supervision. 
You are doing this to yourself. LE has many people that seek the badge and 
the gunthat are unsuited. IMHO you would at this point fit in this group.I 
kinda figure your supervisor/employer has numerous pieces of paper in your 
personal file, some good and some bad.
