Did you get to see the Freedom Train when it came through here in 1976??
That was a real eye-catcher. Occasionally we get a real treat along our
tracks here in town, but not often. The circus train from Baraboo
doesn't come through anymore. It uses a different route to Milwaukee
since the tracks more directly there were upgraded and the city of
Chicago made it unnecessarily difficult for them. :-(
My husband is a real rail buff. He's into steam primarily, and we both
enjoy excursions when we can find them. I miss cabooses on trains
today. Just seems like something's missing....
Police Call has Metra frequencies. Would those be the ones currently in
use? Thanks, Dan
Leah
