CG> Thank you very much from an Aussie Mate
G'day, Mate!
Your words are very kind. I remember all too well those times when
economics prevented me from visiting the parks except in my imagination.
One of my aims in posting these reports was to help people's imagination
along with some contemporary news. I'm gratified that it has had that
effect.
I do have an idea about how you can not only afford to go to WDW,
but get paid for it: Convince your country's tourism bureau that
Australia deserves to be represented at Epcot's World Showcase by an
Australian Pavillion. I can see it now: There's an exciting attraction
where guests are swooped up by giant audio-animatronic eagles to soar
over splendid Austrailian scenery and cities. There's a pub that puts
the Rose & Crown to shame where the Fosters and tall tales flow like
water. Kanga and Roo will be the official character greeters. Retail
shops will sell "Crocodile Dundee" rubber KNIVES and bush hats with big
round black ears stapled to the sides.
I can hear the cash registers jingling even now. If you remind your
country that Disney only asks a mere US$1 billion investment, they may
be so grateful as to send you to the grand opening as their ambassador
(or at least a cast member). Hurry, there is only room for eight more
countries. What have you got to loose?
