I have 2 LSI adapters (53C810 and 53C860 chips). They work well with
OS/2 but they do not have a BIOS ROM and not all motherboards do
recognize them. And with many SCSI adapters (I have also tried Q-Logic
PCI/Fast and Tekram DC-390U2W) it is not possible to install OS/2 on a
partition larger than 8 GB not even with the latest BIOS, although it
works to resize the partition after installation of the EXPARTW4
package. With Adaptec, it is only necessary to update the BIOS (Kris is
the expert).
