PETER FITZSIMMONS had something deep to write about Registration PF> I do not like expiration dates; I'd rather see a program that has PF> an annoying delay, or logo screen, that disappears when you register. I've run across a few programs with what I considered an acceptable method of handling expiration dates. After the expiration date, they stop working. Erase the program, reinstall it, set it up again, and you've got another x days. I've found it sufficiently annoying that after a while, I'll either register the program or stop using it. If I stop using it, it wasn't one I was going to register anyway. None of these caused any bloating of the OS2*.INI files, nor interfered with trying future versions of the program. * KWQ/2 1.2f * Chicken Teriyaki: Name of the only living kamikazi pilot --- QScan v1.11b / 01-0093* Origin: (1:381/123) SEEN-BY: 12/2442 54/54 620/243 624/50 632/348 640/820 690/660 711/409 410 413 SEEN-BY: 711/430 807 808 809 934 712/353 623 713/888 800/1 @PATH: 381/123 900 3615/50 229/2 12/2442 711/409 54/54 711/808 809 934 |
