LR>On 02-05-97 11:40, [About February CARMA Meeting]*

LR>AM> I guess we are neighbors. I'm in Lake in the Hills. Here's a couple

LR>Hi, Al. I'm in Fox River Grove. Thanks for the frequencies. Some I
LR>already have, but a couple I didn't. Is this State Police freq very
LR>active? What's Ispern? I'm not familiar with that.

Ispern (Illinois State Police Emergency Radio Network) is fairly active.
From time to time you can hear some interesting chases. :)

I'm sure you already have this one for the Cary Police: 857.2375. You
can also try Shadow Traffic on 450.2875; Lake Zurich Police at 470.7375;
Mercy 400 (ambulance traffic) at 155.400.

You can pick up a Police Call book at Radio Shack for $12.99 which will
give you lots more freqs.

LR>I listen to about 30 local police/fire/rescue channels. I'm sure there
LR>are some I'm still missing. Do you monitor other things like towing,
LR>taxis, fast food restaurants, RRs, etc.? I pick up Lake, McHenry, and

Don't listen to those. But I do listen to Metra (North Western) railroad
out of Crystal Lake on 160.890

LR>parts of Cook counties. I'm close to all here. I'm curious if there
LR>are people from McHenry county in this CARMA group. I was going to go

Can't say. I've never attended one.

LR>Thanks again, Leah

Anytime, Leah.
