-> I would use the oil/kerosene mixture, crank the engine over to -> distribute it, let it sit for a while so the mixture could seep into as -> many as possible places (for lubrication to prevent scouring) then use a -> starting fluid to try to get the engine started ASAP and then let it -> idle a few minutes. This method would reduce unnecessary wear to a -> minimum. In the old days one took out the Distributor and used a drill motor and special tool to run the oil pump and get al lthe galleries filled before starting a stored engine. Of course that is not possable on the Modern engines without a Distributor. :-) :-) --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5* Origin: Shakey Jake's *ALL FREE BBS* Santee, CA (1:202/1324) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 202/1324 10/3 106/2000 633/267 |
