I look at this from another perspective. Do away with tax breaks. That
leaves more money in Washington. More than they need, so then cut OUR
taxes, let us spend our own money to educate our own kids whatever way we
want (within the law).
ANY tax breaks now come out of OUR collective pockets to cover the loss,
and contribute to the problem of properly raising and teaching our own
kids, as in most cases both parents work, no one is at home when school
lets out, and the kids are 'on their own' for extended periods of time.
Let us keep OUR earnings, keep one parent at home, raise the kids properly;
then we'd have less need for local taxes for Police, Juvenile Correction
systems, Courts, etc.
Good luck... M.
