Hi Wendy!
WA> I'm glad you liked the postcards. I love rubber stamping
WA> and the address change stamp hasn't been used much at all.
WA> It's funny because I had another friend who asked me to
WA> do change of address postcards for her brother and sister-
WA> in-law who are moving. Some of them ended up being regular
WA> cards because of me running out of postcards. I got
WA> paid for some of them and we bartered the rest. It is so
WA> nice to be able to barter some of the stuff I make for
WA> services (she does my hair for me).
That is a good system. I like to carter too. but presently don't
have anything I want to give away or trade for.....
WA> I'll pick up some more postcards the end of the week,
WA> around the 15th and would be happy to make some for
WA> you. If you could send $5, along with your address (since
WA> I can't remember where I put that stuff!) that will
WA> cover the cost of materials and postage. I would
WA> do them for you for free if I had the supplies on hand.
WA> :-) I am glad you liked them. It is actually the
WA> first time I used that corner stamp and it worked
WA> perfectly. (And this time I'll put your address where
WA> I can find it!)
Sure that I can do. I will post you five as soon as my hubby sends
me some money hopefully he will post me some tomorrow but I kind of
doubt it. we ar two ships passing in the night and I haven't talked
to him in a week it seems.
WA> Thank you for your insight with the stuff going on
WA> personally. I'm trying hard to not post any of that
WA> here. I will say that my crafts and projects help me
WA> a lot to cope with stuff.
No problem.... I really have had some struggles of my own and I know
when someone needs a listening ear.
WA> My mom gave me a shirt with hearts on it (or did I tell
WA> you that already?) and I did sew my heart buttons on it.
WA> I had some huge heart buttons that weighed too much for
WA> the fabric, but I had some button pins so I pinned
WA> one of them to the hat that I wear (because of being sun
WA> sensitive) and that was fun.
Yeah you told me about that one. I am glad it is finished. I have
a band sampler that I am working on and it is going quickly. I hope
that I can have it done soon. I want to frame it for my new
apartment.
WA> I make all different kinds of cards. Right now I have a lot
WA> to color because I haven't felt much like coloring and
WA> only wanted to stamp!
I haven't felt like doing much lately either. I have been very
depressed and frustrated about our present move and I have been
picked on and teased by my co workers. They are really trying o
help but they don't really understand. Sometimes I think they think
I am a dumb blonde (I am a burnette) and treat me that way. Oh well
it is my over sensetive feelings I guess. Anyway I know I am very
depressed and it is taking a toll on my crafting.
WA> I make plain note cards a lot. I have over 500 stamps
WA> (which amazes me!) I wouldn't have the room for them but
WA> a lot of them are smaller. This past month I picked
WA> up some of the drawers on wheels (2 large and 2 small
WA> drawers), 2 of those and some extra draw sets for on
WA> top of them to put my rubber stamps and supplies in.
WA> That enabled me to get the newsletter stuff and some other
WA> craft stuff up off the floor and onto the metal
WA> shelves that used to hold my stamp supplies. They are so
WA> much easier to get at now!
Good for you.... I am hoping to get some stuff to make my crafts
more assessable and hopefull turn some of it into extra spending
money for me.
WA> I have sold many of my cards to friends and I made quite
WA> a few for the "Children's Store" that is run by a few
WA> non-profit groups, including a child prevention group,
WA> over the Christmas holidays. I'm hoping that come
WA> September they will want some more again. I make cards
WA> for my parents as well and they buy some of my
WA> craft supplies. My sale of cards helps me pay for the
WA> card stock and envelopes since I pay for those.
Good for you. Hope that it keeps going well and keeps you in paper.
WA> Thank you. It's still been really rough and is getting
WA> rougher since we have to fight the insurance company
WA> now. Hopefully that will not be a problem.
