Yes, and you used your connections with Stu and Willie as the basis for that
suspicion.

It would tell you if Stu and Willie were or were not running the exact same
copy of OPUS.EXE, and it seems they are, as someone did this test, Willie I
believe. So you are back to square one, and for sure this suspicion of yours
has no basis, which all of us suspected. We can now move on to other
suspicions.

Yes, but I recall none of us suspected the problem was in OPUS, rather in
you're hardware, or modem setup or something, but not a bug in OPUS. Is my
recollection correct?
The only problem I have with OPUS is it can be hung when certain callers
screw up a D/L, this is very rare, and must be something stupid that only a
few callers manage, I don't know if its OPUS, my set-up or what, but it's
rare enough, I don't care much, and I devised a recovery scheme that works.
BS> If you still want to see some CRC's, I'll be glad to

I don't care about the tests, I think Willie and Stu had the exact same copy
of OPUS, although proof is in the pudding, and Willie I believe ran the
check, and they were the same.
BS> the needs outside of Net 129. I'll even go so far as to run

BS> becoming a traitor to OPUS by switching to BinklerTerm.
I don't think that qualifies him as an OPUS traitor... Most OPUS sysops run
Bink, only the truly lazy, like me, run barefoot. Unlike many OPUS sysops, I
have zero loyalty to OPUS, I only run it because it works great, no other
reason on earth, thats the same reason I run OS/2, it's great...IBM means
nothing to me, the OPUS developers mean nothing to me (other than respect for
there product) Those that run OPUS out of love for Winn or Doug or whoever,
so be it, I'm just not one of them, and I really doubt Willie is either.
I should by rights be running MAX, but, again, too lazy.
I may soon be the only guy in Fido that runs barefoot and *.msg base... the
only Politically Correct sysop in Fido, go figure as they say:-)
BS> We can discuss this more in our local echo if you desire.
I'll type just about anywhere, until I get bored or yelled at...
For sure you brought some life into the ye old meadow...
