It was minimized.  I've been using the BTM for some time without probs before 
installing win95. As long as it was in the foreground it ran ok, but as I 
said when minimized to the taskbar the timer didn't complete.

It's a countdown timer, that triggers when time eq 0:0.
Thanks for posting your example btm, but I've now discovered the cause of my 
problem... The option for "properties > misc > background > always suspend" 
was checked on my 4dos prompt shortcut. This is where I run my btm's etc from 
so I have now setup my 4dos prompt/dos boxes so that they don't suspend 
whilst minimized in the backgound.
