ROFL...You probably got bitten by one of the new you-beaut versions
of Disk Mangler or similar that they are now pre-installing on many
of the large drives. It can be a real pain in the arse if you don't
know it is there or read how to get rid of it first.

Of course not. They don't know what they are doing, so how on earth
can they tell you what you should be doing.
