I am sorry Mark but your argument is facetious. You claim that you have
the superior imagination because ALL you can see is a God created
universe. I have to tell you that is a very limited sight. I can
see and understand a God created universe, I can also see and understand
a universe that has no God. I can also see and understand a universe
where God is a Dung Betel with a bad attitude. To have a superior
imagination you must be able to see and understand (If not accept) all
points of view. If you can not do that then you have very limited
imagination.
You fall into the unthinking argument that if God does not exist we can
not exist. I am sorry but that argument is infantile in its nature and
unworthy of your intellect. Your arguments for your belief have been
thoughtful and well delivered, but that statement I must protest.
Although I agree that God is nature and nature is God one and the same
indivisible. That is the basis of Quabbalistic learning. Although I don't
claim what I believe to be absolute. I have learned many things and the
one great truth I have learned is that there is no one great truth. What
we believe the universe and/or God to be is totally irrelevant to what
the universe is. Your belief is that God created the universe and that
the universe is God one and the same. I have no problem with that but
could you not then agree that God might have been born at the same time
as the universe? Could not God be an offspring of greater forces? Or how
do we know there is only one God. Maybe every atomic particle has or is a
God unto itself? Just saying God is the universe doesn't explain the
nature of God. You may accept the nature of God as you see fit but I
have found a single belief to be a precarious thing. I believe that all
we believe is invariably and totally wrong, but it's the best we have at
the moment. I also don't believe that God in any form wants us to
lindly
stumble along with only a single unquestioning though. I believe that we
must always question the nature of God. How else are we to become better
than we are? If God wanted us only to hold one unwavering belief, why did
he give us our intelligence and curiosity? Why not just make us just
another animal squatting in the fields?
Yoicks! This is turning into an epistle to the Cyberites! I shall finish
my tirade by saying that believe what you will, but remember we can all
be wrong, so we all should be ready for the blow. I do this by learning
and understanding many different points of view. Forgive my tirade from
the pulpit! Thanks for your time and keep up the good fight!
