Not so HUGE. Both are, more or less, totalitarian
systems where the rules are enforced and punishment
given out for violating the rules.

Two different systems but the same topic, ZT. If I
wanted to I could add "Politically Correct Speech" to
the discussing. It started out as trying to keep
people from using words to inflict pain or start
trouble. It has reached the point that any harsh words
aimed at a person of X, Y, or Z race and you can be
punished.
RW> The rules say no student may have "drugs" in their possession.
RW> It doesn't matter if the "drugs" are 100 hits of LSD and a pound
RW> of cocaine or a single marijuana seed or a metered dose inhalant

TR> covered by PUBLIC LAW. The prescribed medication is

Maybe legal but it may not be treated that way. As I
pointed out in another msg I have to take a med every 6
hrs. When I get the script refilled they give me a
three months supply, the bottle they come in looks like
a one litter soda bottle. When I'm going to be out for
a while I don't take that sucker I put a couple of
pills in something else. Either a smaller pill bottle
or just drop it into my watch pocket.
Now let's say I'm looking for a store in a new part of
town, which just happens to be a ZT area. I'm driving
slow, looking around, just like someone cruising the
area for drugs. I get pulled over and searched "for the
officer's safety" and they find the "drugs". Now I
don't have a script or a bottle showing I have a
script. Guess what? I'm in the back of the car on my
way to be fingerprinted because it is a ZT area and I
am in possession of "drugs".
TR> Rich, I would simply ask you to make a distinction between
TR> school policies and public law. A zero tolerance law
TR> enforcement program would not utilize school policies or
TR> rules, rather existing PUBLIC LAW.
Again I point out that I'm using it as an example of
how a ZT GOVERNMENT program has gone power crazy to
show what MIGHT happen if another GOVERNMENT agency is
given the same power.
