I've got to agree there, but feel that I must point out that salt was only
compiled to byte-code, and the byte code was interpreted by Telix.

salt was a remakably powerfule language, I wrote a uudecoder in it, and a
script capable of updating the paswords in the dialind directory, and other
people wrote a fido mailer and a micro-bbs.
